GRAYSON, 9 months and 36 lbs, is a very active boy, which made his start in rescue a challenge. We observed he was only putting weight on three legs when running and x-rays then showed he had a previous fracture. So surgery it was, followed by crate rest & leash walking for his initial time in rescue. After just six weeks however we were able to cut him loose and now he’s doing great! Thank you Doctor for doing an amazing job!

GRAYSON is a loving boy who aims to please. He is very praise driven, always looking for a “Good Boy” along with pets and love. With his fresh set of wheels he is VERY active! He’ll need lots of exercise of body and mind. He is a very smart boy and you know what they say, a bored border collie can be a mischievous border collie. The more experience you have with herding type dogs the better, because this guy does have a strong herding drive. GRAYSON does well with the three other dogs in the household. Inside they are all fine together, but outside he does want to herd them while playing ball or chase. Our three dogs are pretty tolerant of him while playing and once inside the house it’s all good. Because of the attention he pays to the felines he would do best in a cat-free environment or at minimum with a very dog savvy cat. If there are feral cats or small animals about, he will chase them.

GRAYSON is crate trained. He’ll go into his crate any time knowing he'll get a treat, and then lie quietly. He is quiet all night long and lets you know when he needs to go out. GRAYSON is working on his indoor potty habits. He has gotten much better but still has the occasional accident when not watched. He quickly learned to use the doggie door so we make sure he has access. GRAYSON loves chewing on his deer antlers and Nylabones so you’ll want to have plenty on hand. Did we mention he needs lots of exercise? If you think you can give this enthusiastic pup the home he deserves, GRAYSON is eager to meet and discuss your future together.

GRAYSON is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
